Experience & Philosophy

Katarína Chramcová Hálová is a personal trainer and certified Functional Patterns Human Biomechanics Specialist (HBS1), dedicated to helping clients achieve long-term physical resilience, postural integrity, and better quality of life through evidence-based corrective training and holistic coaching.

Her journey began as a multi-sport athlete in Slovakia, where she developed a deep passion for movement through gymnastics, karate, swimming, volleyball, basketball, and ultimately track and field—where she earned national and international accolades. This early connection to movement led her to study Recreology (lifestyle management through physical activity) at Palacký University in the Czech Republic.

Katarína’s professional path took her to London and Sydney, where she expanded her expertise in fitness, health-oriented movement, and nutrition. Over the years, she has combined academic knowledge with real-world coaching experience to build a practice grounded in science, compassion, and long-term client outcomes.

Since becoming certified in the Functional Patterns system, Katarína has focused her coaching on improving the body's most fundamental movement patterns—such as walking, running, and throwing—by restoring muscular balance, optimizing posture, and re-integrating functional coordination. Functional Patterns is a globally recognized system designed specifically for human biomechanics, emphasizing fascial connectivity and whole-body tensegrity.

Her sessions are focused, challenging, and deeply intentional. She emphasizes quality over quantity, teaching clients how to feel their body, activate the right muscles, and move with strength, balance, and purpose. Her training style is corrective and preventive, helping people overcome pain, address asymmetries, and reclaim confidence in movement.

Above all, Katarína believes in living and coaching by the ancient wisdom:
“Mens sana in corpore sano” – A healthy mind in a healthy body.


Her goal is to guide clients toward balance—physically, emotionally, and mentally—through movement that supports not just appearance, but long-term health, vitality, and inner peace.

From Surgery to Strength

Kateřina Kuchařová began working with coach Katka after undergoing right hip surgery. Although the operation itself was considered successful, she experienced unexpected post-surgical pain and knew she needed professional guidance to restore her natural walking pattern and overall movement quality.

Aside from her hip, she initially believed she was functioning well. However, once she started training, she quickly realized how many fundamental movement patterns were not working as they should. Simple but essential mechanics — such as natural chest rotation during walking — were missing. Step by step, these details were rebuilt until proper movement became second nature and her body began functioning efficiently again.

After six years of consistent work, Kateřina reports no issues in her other, natural hip — effectively preventing the need for surgery on the opposite side. Today, she can ski, ski tour, and fully enjoy an active lifestyle with confidence.

What she values most about working with Katka is the precise and responsive approach. Whenever a new issue appears, the focus immediately shifts to address it. Recently, when she experienced a blocked chest, the training plan was promptly adjusted, and within a week the condition significantly improved.

A Life Without Pain

Before starting at Advance Training, this client was living with constant pain — 24/7 discomfort that felt more like surviving day to day than truly living. She struggled with stiffness in the pelvis, thoracic spine, shoulder, knee, and foot, along with recurring sciatic nerve issues. Movement was restricted, breathing felt limited, and normal daily activities were exhausting.

Her primary motivation was clear: a life without pain and a return to the feeling of a healthy, capable body she once remembered. She was also looking for a sustainable, long-term solution — not temporary relief. Seeing the results others achieved by correcting movement patterns through the Functional Patterns system reinforced her decision to begin.

Her experience at Advance Training, working with coach Katarina, became one of the most valuable journeys of her life. She describes the approach as professional yet genuinely caring — with full attention, consistent support, and measurable results. While the initial phase was demanding, each session built upon the last. Gradually, everything began to connect. Even when focusing on different parts of the body, the training emphasized integration — teaching the body to function as one coordinated system rather than isolated segments.

Today, the change is profound. She can breathe freely. She feels stronger, more capable, more resilient, and healthier overall. She can stand, sit, sleep, work, and travel without pain — something that once seemed out of reach.
